Definition: A public library service area is the legal territory served by and taxed by the public library.
Non-resident: an individual residing in Illinois whose principal residence is not within the territory of a public library service area, thus are not being taxed to support the library. Cost is $75.00 for 12 Months use of a family library card.
Non-resident library district property owners, upon presentation of the most recent tax bill, may be provided resident library privileges and use, limited to one individual for each parcel of property.
